Eagle Speed is an acrylate polymer antifouling paint with fine and specialty chemicals consisting of Zinc or Copper Pyrithione. These may be combined with organic biocides which act as boosters. Its hydrolysis mechanism provides long-lasting antifouling protection and incomparable hull performance. This coating includes a very stable, fine polishing control mechanism for optimal performance. It is suitable for application on approved primers and tie coats present on aluminum and carbon steel substrates. Compliant with IMO Antifouling System Convention AFS/CONF/26. Excellent static performance and excellent recoat ability. High volume solids for a hydrolysis type antifouling Eagle Speed HS displays very good compatibility with various well known producers.
Designed as a premium solution for vessels trading at a low speed with low activity, where the focus is maintaining speed and schedule. The product is designed for long service periods and is applied to the submerged hull in newbuilding and drydocking. It can be used up to 90 months as a part of a complete coating system.
