Eagle Speed Antifouling
Eagle Speed Antifouling is an ultra low friction antifouling with controlled polishing rate, based on a hydrolysing organosilyl polymer as binder. This binder dissolves in seawater at a rate permitting the continuous exposure of fresh antifouling. It’s high performance technology is comprised of the insoluble modified acrylate polymer, Copper Co2-SiR3 (Pyrithion). With its high strength A/F technology, Eagle Speed is designed for vessels with a 5 year service period undergoing heavy fouling, long-range service, and travelling at medium speed. It is a tin-free A/F certified to comply with IMO Antifouling System Convention (AFS/CONF/26). Eagle Speed Antifouling can also be applied on naval vessels, coastal cruisers and deep sea ocean vessels, where longer static conditions arise. Provides excellent performance and substantial savings to the operators. Eagle Speed Antifouling displays very good compatibility with various well known producers.
To be used on higher speed and wide range vessels operating on a worldwide trading service. Focus is on maintaining speed and schedule. For application at new building or maintenance and suitable protection on hull under all fouling conditions. It is highly durable with up to 90 months of service.

Mixing Ratio: Single pack product which should be stirred well before application by stirring machine.
Thinner: Not recommended. The material is ready for use, under special conditions use Thinner PH 400, max 5% by volume.
Painting Method: Airless spraying is our recommendation, brush, and spray follows. Tip range 0.46mm-0.66mm and 0.66-0.79, blowing pressure shouldn’t be less than 141kg/cm2 (2000psi). Spray angle 65 - 80°. May be required to add thinner. Use the proper equipment. Actual safety measures and precautions are very important from the selected method and environment work. Drying and Over-Coating Conditions
Eagle Speed Antifouling should always be applied to a recommended coating system. The surface should be dry and free from contamination of any existing layers of PhilaDur, Phila VIN/CL, link coat/sealers or various A/Fs, in order to secure good adhesion and good A/F performance. Specific recommendations and statements should be agreed and approved by Philadelphia Coatings LLC Technical Department in writing to do so, as there is a limit of liability only for the supplied quantity and value of the antifouling.
All surfaces should be clean, dry and free from contamination. High pressure or pressure with fresh water wash should be applied prior to the treatment or of the application. Aged antifouling with leached layer: Removal by thorough fresh water washing at minimum nozzle pressure 200 bar. Aged antifouling with leached layer: Removal by thorough fresh water washing at minimum nozzle pressure 340 bar. For new building surface treatment, please consult with Philadelphia Coatings LLC.
Circa 12 months when stored in a cool, dry, shaded and ventilated condition. The container/paint, must be kept sealed and away from heat and ignition.

Read carefully and conform to precautions on MSDS and packing vessels. To avoid eye and skin contact, tools such as gloves, goggles and face mask etc. should be used during work with product (proper safety measures should be taken according to construction methods and circumstances). All work with the product must be carried out according to all relevant national health, safety and environment standards and codes. This product is for professional use only.
Limitation of liability
All information is given for guidance only and is subject to regional variation depending upon local climate and environmental condition. An excessive film thickness delays the final curing and creates sagging. Over coating interval will increase with the number of paint layers and the thickness of the paint film. The relative humidity must not exceed 80% temperature of the surface to be coated must be at least 3°C above the dew point. All data from the tests is obtained under lab conditions, so Philadelphia Coatings LLC won’t bear any liabilities from the condition whether the data could reflect the objective status of the actual application circumstance or not.
