PhilaDur PHE 06/08M
Excellent mechanical and chemical resistance. It is a high performance, two-component, self-priming polyamide-cured, epoxy product. It forms a tough, hard wearing coating with good resistance to water and petroleum products. Not resistant to aromatic solvents or strong acids. It offers long term protection of steel and other structural materials under severe service and environment conditions. Abrasion resistant. Adheres strongly to steel surfaces, previously painted and galvanized. Is suitable for new construction and maintenance. For durable protection systems with polyurethane and polysiloxane finishes. Excellent barrier protection against corrosion and applicable to a variety of surfaces. Excellent workshop primer for corrosive services. Applicable for immersion service. Meets requirements for organic volatile content. Provides an excellent barrier against corrosion in damaged areas, by the action of its inhibitory pigments. Ensures good behavior in aggressive environments. Better performance than conventional coatings even with manual or mechanical cleaning. Also meets the criteria those for foods contact according to the FDA section 21, chapter 175.300. It is a very good choice where surface preparation is upgraded.
PhilaDur PHE 06/08M displays very good compatibility with various well known producers.

Drying and Over-Coating Conditions
If local temperatures are around freezing, long overcoat period, the systems, actual existing film esp. over coated epoxy layer, and proper surface preparation, coating application procedures should be selected, and then test in a controlled laboratory. Design factors, statements, specific recommendations should always be valued. Please consult with Philadelphia Coatings LLC Technical Department.
All surfaces should be clean, dry and free from contamination. High pressure or pressure with fresh water wash should be applied prior to the treatment or of the application. Steel products with mill scale: shot blasting or grit blasting should meet the requirements of Sa1 grade in Sweden derusting standard at least. Steel products without mill scale: to be grinded by dynamic tools to meet the requirements of St3 grade in Sweden derusting standard. Steel products painted with plant primer: use slight grit blasting or dynamic tools to carry out secondary surface preparation to meet the requirements of St3 grade in Sweden derusting standard. For other surface treatments, please consult with Philadelphia Coatings LLC.

Limitation of liability
All information is given for guidance only and is subject to regional variation depending upon local climate and environmental condition. An excessive film thickness delays the final curing and creates sagging. Over coating interval will increase with the number of paint layers and the thickness of the paint film. For recommended paints at special circumstances, please consult with our Philadelphia Coatings LLC. Apply in good weather. The relative humidity must not exceed 80% temperature of the surface to be coated must be at least 3°C above the dew point. All data from the tests is obtained under lab conditions, so Philadelphia Coatings LLC won’t bear any liabilities from the condition whether the data could reflect the objective status of the actual application circumstance or not.
